The South County Football League (SCFL) is a non-profit, youth football and cheerleading organization that serves the residents of Montgomery County and Northern Harris County.
We are committed to its mission of instilling in all participants good sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, honesty and cooperation; in a fun and family-oriented environment.
Founded in 1974, South County Football League (SCFL) has been a fixture in the North Houston region for over fifty years, proudly serving the communities of The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, and surrounding areas. As one of the most enduring and respected youth athletic programs in Montgomery County, SCFL has reached thousands of children and families, offering high-quality tackle football and cheerleading programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 12.
What sets SCFL apart is our unwavering commitment to developing the whole child. Through the game of football, young athletes are taught values that last a lifetime—discipline, leadership, accountability, resilience, and teamwork. These lessons extend beyond the field, helping shape children into confident students, respectful peers, and engaged members of their community. Cheerleading at SCFL offers the same benefits, emphasizing spirit, confidence, collaboration, and community pride.
Every Saturday during the fall season, SCFL becomes a hub of family activity and community fellowship, drawing hundreds of people to Gullo Park for games, team spirit, and connection. These game days are more than sporting events—they're opportunities to build relationships, support local businesses, and celebrate our youth. With many of our former players returning as parents, coaches, and board members, SCFL embodies a deep-rooted tradition of giving back and investing in the next generation.
Over the years, SCFL has continued to evolve with modern needs. We’ve implemented advanced safety protocols, enhanced coaching education, and prioritized access and inclusivity for all families, regardless of financial circumstances. We proudly offer payment plans and scholarships to ensure every child who wants to play has a place on our field.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create a fun, family-centered environment where athletes of all backgrounds can learn, grow, and thrive. As we look ahead, SCFL is eager to expand our reach, enhance our facilities, and partner with local leaders to ensure our league continues to be a source of pride and development in Montgomery County.
